Knowledge Park is a new growth strategy that is transforming Rock Hill. The strategy is designed to make Rock Hill home to knowledge economy businesses and jobs, while also offering an appealing urban lifestyle. It is technologically advanced, yet rooted in the city’s rich history, and supported by a diverse community of learners, innovators, and creators. While Knowledge Park is a strategy, it is also a place. The core of Knowledge Park is located in downtown Rock Hill from Winthrop University to Fountain Park. However, Knowledge Park will continue to expand as development takes place over the next 5-10 years. Knowledge Park will be an inclusive, walkable, and lively place where we can LIVE, WORK AND PLAY.

Talent Pipeline

Technology Incubator

The Technology Incubator (TI) offers entrepreneurs access to business resources and technical support designed to help launch an idea into a successful business. The TI isn’t just a place to share space, rather it’s designed to bring companies in, help them grow and develop, then graduate in approximately 8 to 12 months.

Collision Cowork

Located in Rock Hill’s historic district, Collision Cowork features newly renovated, creative cowork space, which is right beside restaurants, bars, concert venues, and apartments. The center offers flexible or dedicated workspace, private offices, and private phone booths. Coworking is an increasing trend in the modern workplace and is considered a key driver of small and fast-growing companies. Coworking provides a knowledge-sharing spirit of collaboration whose benefits include: keeping local talent, work-life balance, a marketplace of resources, and an engine of innovation. 1 Million Cups

1 Million Cups is a free, nationwide program that allows early-stage startups a safe and supportive space to present their business ideas and receive constructive feedback from other business owners and community members. Launched for the first time in York County in November 2016, the program will continue on a monthly schedule and is open to any community member interested in participating. SC Works is a statewide career center system with 56 local chapters staffed by professionals who provide employment services to job seekers. Additionally, they work directly with employers to deliver a variety of workforce training, recruiting and incentive programs to help grow businesses.
