What You’ll Do Here

  • Operate high-speed piece(s) of machinery, including but not limited to HP T-410, Acoro/Alegro, Diamant, Horauf, Horizon, Vareo and other High-Speed bindery equipment
  • Own equipment in your department; provide technical support, perform pit stops and preventative maintenance
  • Monitor, maintain and understand the capabilities of the machine to achieve optimum print quality
  • Maintain workflow efficiency by evaluating processes at each stage of production with the ability to exceed daily production and quality goals
  • Provide machine training to peers, including ongoing support and mentorship, and occasionally fill in for Machine Operator Leads
  • Create a predictable process through proper job set up, preventative maintenance routines, performing and inspecting adherence for routine printing procedures
  • Recognize when routine adjustments are necessary and identifying errors at the earliest possible stage to minimize production rework
  • Lead by example by being safety oriented and following and enforcing all facility and department safety rules. Willing to participate on either EHS or CI Committees.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment issues; work cross-functionally with Technical team. Provide technical support by performing preventative maintenance; meeting daily, weekly and monthly service repair needs of equipment


The Skills You’ll Bring

  • Proficient operator of key print and bindery equipment with a minimum of 3 years OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to match or detect subtle differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
  • Background and experience in conventional offset operation, preferably in color printing
  • An understanding of prepress functions
  • Ability to match or detect subtle differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
  • General understanding of the following principles: Lock Out Tag Out, Pneumatics, Mechanical, PLC, ACDC Drives, Multimeter basics, Basic Electricity & Electronics
  • Experience working with high voltage equipment (480V)
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, as significant overtime may be required during busy periods
  • Safety driven and ensures all health and safety regulations are followed
  • Must be able to be flexible and work alternate shifts when needed
  • Able to stand for long periods of time; lift, up to 50 lbs., mobility to crouch, kneel, reach, bend and do repetitive actions with hands and arms
