Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate II (1st Shift) in Fort Mill, SC. This position is responsible for enabling the plant to ship finished bearing stock to the customers in a timely manner with sufficient quality.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Pick customer orders focusing on correct item and quantity
- Utilize computer and scanning systems to generate correct labels and paperwork
- Stage order with correct customer packaging requirements
- Unload and load carrier trailers
- Maintain inventory accuracy with correct put away; pulling; and cycle counts
- Ability to read and understand all instruction manuals and shipping documents
Qualified candidates will have:
- One-year forklift/picker-lift experience
- Forklift certified
- General wareouse experience in a shipping/receiving enviornment
- Familiarity with computers and scanners
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Receiving clerk/material handler experience
- Use of both stand up side winder and stand up fork lifts
- SAP experience preferred (basic logistics transactions)
- Unloading trucks and sea containers
- Comfortable handling long, 6 meter crates
