Senior Specialist – Communications & Marketing

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Specialist – Communications & Marketing to support our CEO functions located in Fort Mill, SC.


  • Manage day-to-day operations of company intranet, including content planning, writing and editing content, development of metrics and user data to drive content development, serve as intranet webmaster
  • Lead newsroom process – work with team members and functional areas to create cohesive, informative, and timely communication materials across all channels
  • Create content for internal communication channels, including Intranet, TV monitors, bulletin posts, campaigns, etc.
  • Implement S+ employee mobile app in North America and manage content creation
  • Implement internal communication campaigns from concept to post-launch metrics, including initiatives in local communities
  • Support internal employee events (e.g. plant anniversaries, family day, etc.)
  • Oversee social media strategy to ensure messaging and branding are in line with corporate standards and company initiatives
  • Manage employee magazine including planning, ideation, copy writing, visual procurement and distribution
  • Support branding guidelines to ensure all communications and visual content adhere to branding standards
  • Support new programs to engage with employees in the organization
  • Support implementation of Schaeffler’s communications and digital strategy across traditional and online media platforms, including developing new channels
  • Maintain external website content up to date and support website activities
  • Manage external vendors
  • Develop reporting measures to identify trends and measure success of communication programs, including website metrics
  • Recommend and develop communication outreach initiatives supporting employee engagement
  • Develop and manage content and imaging through different platforms (website, social media, print, intranet)
  • Manage company online store and provide monthly reports on spend and inventory level
  • Interact with other departments: Engage other departments on communication, especially those ones with more communication demands, such as HR, Quality and MOVE
  • Manage communications budget


  • Ability to storyboard or translate ideas to content, in line with global communications pillars
  • Understanding of social media best practices for B2B
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums
  • Excellent writing skills to draft and edit content as needed
  • Keep up to date on communications and digital industry standards and trends – provide timely recommendations to implement effective communications strategies and practices
  • Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud tools
  • Experience with event management
  • Experience with budget management
  • Ability to manage communication in different locations
  • Degree in marketing, communications, or business management
  • At least five years of experience in marketing or communications, preferably in B2B
