Part-Time District Elementary Math Coach @ CO
SC certification in Math or Elementary preferred
Master’s Degree in education required
Thorough knowledge base of math and developmentally appropriate teaching practices in math in an elementary setting
Must have a personal commitment to self-reflection, learning new skills, and acquiring new knowledge;
(evidence of continuous, diverse professional growth and development; e.g., attending conferences, reading books and articles on math, numeracy development and teaching; sharing new knowledge and insights with others; holding membership in professional organizations)
Extensive experience mentoring adults and facilitating professional dialogue
Excellent observation and interpersonal skills
Evidence of application of proven practice
Ability to work with the educational change process in a knowledgeable and professional way
Ability to lead the development of appropriate math curriculum development
Skill at organizing materials and services
Ability to collect and analyze data and recommend curriculum changes based on data analysis
Willingness to travel within the district to designated sites and to monthly regional and state meetings
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Administrative Scale/Group 7
Length of Contract: Remainder 2020-2021 school year with the possibility of an extension
Starting Date: Immediately upon selection
