Performs clinical support duties, under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor and direction of the Medical Director and the Clinic Operations Director; participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities of the organization and the Performance Management System. Provides nursing triage and health advice and reports abnormal lab findings, medication changes for patients over the phone for Pod. Uses adult and pediatric standing orders to evaluate, assess, and then document patient all communication in the electronic health record. Relies on experience and judgment to perform tasks such as, scheduling patients for provider or RN visits, follow doctor’s orders, and educate patients. The RN will develop an assessment of the patient’s problem based on the conversation with the patient. Respond to/refer incoming patient phone calls related to medication refills, renewals, prior-authorizations, laboratory results and all other medical related telephone communication with the patient. Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
Valid Driver’s License required
Valid RN license in the state of SC
