Nurse Tech Progressive Care Unit PRN Days

Summary:

Performs basic data collection and basic patient assessment, identifying deviations, assists with family requests, provides direct inpatient and outpatient care including but not limited to bathing, feeding, vital signs, patient weight, & blood sugar finger sticks. This position requires keen assessment, documentation and communication skills. This individual will be a key member of the Inpatient Nursing Division and will support our goals for delivering excellent patient care. Position will require interaction with RNs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but will not be limited to, the following: Obtaining vital signs on a routine basis, extensive patient rounds, ensuring that patient requests and needs are met in a timely manner and communicating with all members of the healthcare team.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum Experience:Minimum of six months of work experience preferred.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: CNA, and/or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited Nursing Curriculum with the intention to complete a nursing degree required. CPR certification required.
