Applied Behavioral Analysis Residential Counselor
Applied Behavioral Analysis Residential Counselor is responsible for the training, supervision and management of individuals with an Autism spectrum diagnosis and varying levels of adaptive and intellectual functioning within a therapeutic residential milieu. The unique functions outlined are designed with a focus on safety and quality operating within the ABA methodology.
- Assist in the management of aggressive residents as needed, using only de-escalation and behavior management techniques approved by New Hope Treatment Center.
- Implements and assists in the coordination for therapeutic activities including but not limited to education activities, assisted daily living tasks including hygiene, chores, meal preparation, etc.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of the resident behavior in the clinical record behavior/treatment plan, and intervention provided and their effectiveness on a daily basis, using the format approved by New Hope Treatment Centers.
Education/Experience: Minimum qualifications are a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and at least 21. Preferred qualifications are ABA knowledge and/or experience in the Autism Spectrum and CNA.
