Engineering Technician 2 (Reliability Tech)

Job Summary
Under direction of engineering staff, assists in all monitoring, troubleshooting, redesigns, trials, projects and improvements related to assigned process lane.
Job Duties
·         Set up, adjust and operate machinery in support of the production process, as needed

·         Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation, look for opportunities to optimize flow and fix standard malfunctions

·         Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop order to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation

·         Assist in creation of process related documentation

·         Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for machinery, such as machinery or equipment and measuring instruments

·         Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

·         Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

·         Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

·         Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education
·         Perform work under general supervision

·         Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff

·         Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter

·         Require accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program and 2 to 4 years of experience

·         Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
