IT FIELD SERVICES MANAGER

Description

Reporting to the Director – IT Technical Resources, the IT Field Services Manager will lead a team comprised of Field Services Supervisors, Field Service Technicians, IT Technicians and IT Systems Administrators who are responsible for supporting and delivering business focused IT solution and IT supported Process Control Networks (IT/PCN) across the Pulp and Paper division’s mills and Converting facilities.  The Manager will provide expert knowledge of the relevant business areas and contribute to the development of the long-term strategy while mentoring and growing the team to achieve established goals.  The Manager will have a strategic focus on multiple disciplines and/or systems within the mill operations and IT/PCN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationship with key business stakeholders (Mill Managers, Mill Leadership Teams, IT COE leaders) to proactively identify business needs, follow up on delivered functionality and in general ensure that services are delivered with high customer satisfaction – 30%
  • Develop, optimize and ensure team compliance to operational, control and project delivery processes – 10%
  • Manage team’s delivery of requirements, solutions, design, and implementation to ensure compliance to architecture, standards, budget, and timeline – 20%
  • Mentor, grow and develop people to ensure a sustainable, customer focused team that is efficient and cost effective – 20%
  • Supervises the IT Field Services Supervisors (minimum 5) and provides guidance in managing IT employees at the mills – 20%

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • BA/BS degree in an IT related field of study or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT (7 to 15 preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role
