LOGISTICS MANAGER

Coroplast Tape Corporation is a global leading manufacturer of technical adhesive tape, cables and wires, as well as cable harnessing systems. As well as having clients from the automotive industry, we do business with people from the electronics industry, construction and automation engineering.

Position Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of scheduling incoming and outgoing freight; scheduling of production equipment and raw materials; and manage day to day activities of workers engaged in operating forklifts on all shifts to store and ship products by performing the following duties personally.

• Provide leadership to personnel within the Team to identify opportunities to meet company objectives for creation of value, supply chain improvement and internal/external customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate supply chain using SAP and best practice.
• Prepare compliance documents needed for NAFTA customer base
• Import knowledge: Tariffs, certificate of origin, broker interface, HTS codes, etc.
• Manage material supply and storage to support Production.
• Interact with Coating, Converting and Maintenance Team Leaders to prepare weekly schedules and monthly forecasts.
• Provide customer support as needed.
• Lead 5S, 8-Deadly Forms of Waste, Continuous Improvement activities with team to maintain and continuously improve housekeeping, organization and customer service.
• Maintain and create accurate quality system documents.
• Address all safety issues assigned to department.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University, or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Read and interpret documents such as schematics, drawings, safety rules and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of employees.
Mathematical Ability:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and metric system. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, preferably most current Office tools(Microsoft Word document processing software, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook); Internet Explorer browser software; and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with document and data management software is a plus..
