Product Manager – Britax & B.O.B Gear

Overall Responsibility

This Product Manager will function as a general manager of their product portfolios. They will provide leadership/guidance to cross-functional groups and be responsible for the P&L of the product line. While providing leadership, this position will drive strategic direction for the 3-year product roadmap. This position is instrumental in driving future growth for Britax.

Product portfolios: Britax and BOB GEAR

Key Task and Responsibilities

  • P&L ownership
  • New product sales forecast and ongoing contribution
  • POS tracking and analysis
  • Continuous consumer and competitive market evaluation and documentation
  • Product roadmap planning, documentation & communication
  • New product development (NPD) and life cycle management
  • New product validation through various forms of quantitative and qualitative consumer research
  • Collaborates with the Brand Marketing team with new product launch planning, product copy, packaging and merchandising development and implementation, sales collateral content development, and photography
  • Cross-functional product training and support
  • Product set up and pricing management
  • Development and delivery of presentations for corporate and retail partners
  • Excess and obsolete product planning and disposition
  • 10% travel required

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management and/or marketing. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years Product Management experience with emphasis in the stage-gate new product development process
  • Channel Marketing or Sales experience
  • Consumer Goods/Durable Goods industry experience. Juvenile Product Industry experience a plus.
