Amazon Account Manager – Sales Operations

Overall Responsibility

We are looking for a talented Amazon Sales Operations Manager, to join our team. You will manage the strategic operational elements of the BOB and Britax brand portfolios to help drive sales and profitable growth for the Amazon sales channel.

Amazon is one of the fastest growing retailers in the child protection industry.   With expected strong growth, this role will be critical to future success.

As a Sales Operations Manager, Amazon, you must have solid experience in key sales functions including, analytics, operations, promotions, pricing and forecasting, marketing. You should also have a clear understanding of, and experience with, Amazon as both a retailer and a marketing tool. Sales Operations Manager, Amazon will track and manage channel inventory, compile, analyze and maintain channel inventory sell thru data, partner with the product team to develop forecasts for new products and facilitate inventory management and sales strategies to help the sales organization achieve their quarterly revenue goals. In addition, the role will develop and maintain accurate and prompt forecast submissions, work with Sales and Finance departments to develop and administer the company’s sales forecast, planning and delivery.

Key Task and Responsibilities

  • Lead Sales Operations for Amazon channel to support the achievement of sales targets through the administration and operation of sales forecast, planning and delivery processes
  • Reach sales and profitability objectives as defined by leadership for Britax and BOB through the development of a complete Amazon sales and marketing plan
  • Support and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of Sales Operations with the overall business strategy
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team in understanding sell-in, weekly sell thru, WOS and end of life strategies to facilitate better decision making and reporting
  • Drive organizational process to ensure timely data delivery, increase analytics and streamline S&OP preparation
  • Understand historical trends as well as current sell thru trends, using the data to understand the health of the business by product line and product ASIN
  • Forecast sales and item level demand, including new products and promotions, to maximize inventory turns and sales growth
  • Leverage Data to ensure KPIs are met, both leading and lagging trends
  • Develop existing business relationships by working closely with buyers as well as internal product, brand and operations teams to meet product assortment and overall sales growth goals
  • Establish Global best practices to be shared across regions
  • Drive brand strategy through the creation and execution of Amazon specific marketing opportunities
  • Manage and control expenses within agreed upon budget
  • Facilitate weekly updates/planning meetings as well as lead key meetings with Customer
  • Provide feedback on Key Account Representative and Retail Sales Consultant requirements and opportunities
  • Support digital marketing activities and integrate with other functional activities including product launches, promotions, marketing and operations
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities including promotions, pricing, design and availability

Skills and Attributes 

Required:

  • 5-10 years of experience in fields of  Sales Operations
  • ***Proven work experience within Amazon, especially managing a mature portfolio**
  • Superb analytical skills, technical aptitude and attention to detail, proven work experience analyzing data to drive growth and channel optimization
  • Forecasting and Demand Planning experience
  • Promotional ROI computing experience
  • Work experience with managing consumer brands
  • Experience with communicating/interacting directly with consumers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability
  • Experience with optimizing the digital sales funnel
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, 10% Travel
  • Bachelor’s degree

Physical Requirements: Must have good oral and written communication skill and satisfactory vision and hearing skills, with or without correction
