Assistant Business Controller

The Role




To assist the Business Controller in providing accurate, relevant and timely business & financial analysis in order for management to make effective business decisions. This position will have a focus on acquisition reporting and integration.


Roles and Responsibilities


Preparation and publishing of monthly reports, scorecards and other reports defined by the Business Controller. Focus on the acquisition reporting in particular.

Be an integral part of the Business Control and Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting.

Assist in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting data and financial reports.

Special focus on acquired entity reporting starting from

  • The mapping trial balance to Atlas Copco accounts
  • Setting up the reporting to Atlas Copco standard and monthly reporting
  • Balance sheet reconciliation entity
  • Support Integration of ERP system to Atlas Copco ERP particularly on the finance area

Work with Vice Presidents in order to understand financial results within their responsibilities.

Monitor invoicing/orders received/orders on hand to help analyze business performance.

Help with establishing and maintaining effective internal controls.

Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed.

Review gross profit regularly in order to identify and help resolve potential issues

Communicate activities and work with all levels in our company.

Work within a team to meet goals and make improvements

Prepare necessary information for meetings as required.

Act on behalf of peer group members in their absence from work when called upon to do so by either design or circumstances.

Updating and cleansing ERP system; ERP process investigation

Recommend improvements to finance and accounting processes, inclusive of leveraging technology to improve timeliness and accuracy of reporting

Work as team to fill all gaps and/or backup as needed

What we expect of you?





Supervisory Responsibility






5-10 years accounting experience and a good knowledge of MS Office applications, SAP experience will be added advantage




Associates and/or University Degree with emphasis in Accounting




High ability to work in teams and encourage collaboration. Ability to do multi-tasking, organize and prioritize in fast changing environment. Openness to change and ability to be proactive. Able to communicate with impact. Work cooperatively with all departments in a spirit of teamwork to address problem areas and find potential areas of opportunity. Safeguard the assets of the Company in general and reveal no information to competitors or outside parties, which could be harmful. Manage in the best interest of the Company, those assets entrusted to you, these may include but are not limited to computers and phones.
