Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college in lineman training or related field. Requires one year of line work experience or closely related experience.
A Commercial Driver’s License is required.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Thorough knowledge of municipal electric utilities services and related methods of installation, operation and maintenance, including electrical power distribution.
Knowledge of the machinery, materials and supplies required for daily overhead and underground electrical installations, maintenance and operations.
Knowledge of applicable occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze system performance and take necessary steps to ensure the provision of reliable, safe and uninterrupted utility service for customers.
Ability to perform well and react calmly in dangerous and/or emergency situations.
Ability to perform required field work, including climbing power poles.
Ability to work effectively despite occasional exposure to extreme heat/cold, harsh weather conditions, odors, smoke, noise, wetness, humidity, electric currents, machinery hazards, traffic hazards, dusts, vibrations, working at heights, etc.
Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines.
Ability to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, the general public, and all other internal and external customers. Personally, demonstrates appropriate customer service skills.
Essential Job Functions
Assists crew members in the construction, maintenance and emergency repair of de-energized overhead and underground electric systems.
Assembles and fastens pole line hardware on de-energized erected poles; installs conductors to insulators; makes splices; installs transformers, anchors and other auxiliary equipment.
Assists in locating cable faults; repairs primary and secondary lines.
Replaces broken or faulty equipment on poles; assists in disconnecting energized conductors under supervision.
Assists in installing/removing poles under supervision.
Loads and unloads supplies, materials and equipment onto and off trucks.
Assists in identifying overhead wire sizes and connections.
Prepares accurate and up-to-date maintenance and repair records.
Performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.

Position: Environmental Laboratory Technician I
Salary: $17.64 Per Hour

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in the hard sciences such as chemistry, biology, mathematics, or related field with at least one year of work in an environmental laboratory or closely related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of basic laboratory skills.
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plant operations.
Knowledge of computer systems and software.
Ability to follow directions and perform functions and analysis from written, technical directions.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to interpret environmental regulations.
Ability to respond to emergency situations 24 hours per day.
Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines.

Work is performed onsite. The incumbent must be present at work to perform the essential functions of this job.
Essential Job Functions
Collects environmental samples and performs basic laboratory analyses required for the NPDES permit, stormwater permit, Industrial Pretreatment Program, and wastewater treatment plant process control.
Collects samples at off-site locations when needed.
Cleans, maintains and services, vehicles, automated samplers, field meters and equipment, including required documentation and records.
Inventories and distributes laboratory supplies and chemicals.
Cleans and stocks glassware, pipets, and other reusable items.
Prepares chain of custody, sample ID labels and other records for sample collection.
Prepares and stocks sample containers, labels and other sampling materials.
Performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.
