Company Spotlight: Legrand
Legrand are global specialists in electrical and digital building infrastructures. Began in Limoges, France ago 150 years ago, they’ve branched out to include locations in more than 90 countries, with a team of over 36,000 employees. Originally producing porcelain dishes, they moved into electric switched housed porcelain and wood in 1919. They moved forward, expanding into electrical equipment and eventually full-service digital infrastructure and security systems for buildings.
Legrand is headquartered in the US in its Connecticut facility. In 2010, they brought over 185 jobs to Fort Mill in 2009 when they opened their Crestmont Drive distribution center with their labor partner, Insource. This 332,000 square foot center is located near the junction of interstates 77 and 485, part of the Carowinds Distribution complex.

They maintain their ethics around providing sustainable access to electricity for millions of users around the world while designing and implementing connected building programs for residential and industrial structures.
